OUR DEPARTMENT

Department of Zoology was established in academic year 2018-19 with first batch of F.Y.B.Sc. Department has one full time qualified staff.

More than three batches of graduate students have been released out from the Department. Many of them have grabbed good position in different areas of their careers. Department has been successful in producing good results of T.Y.B.Sc. Exams. Department has spacious and well equipped laboratories for carrying out practical sessions. Laboratories have enough instruments, equipments and animal specimens of different phyla as suggested by curriculum.

As a part of extra curriculum department celebrates different days, events related to subject and keep students well aware about.

We have opted student centric methods in teaching and learning. Faculty member always creates healthy academic environment and encourage students to participate in various events organised in or outside the college. They are involved in training the brains of the students in their placement gain. In our department we are nurturing students to enable them to be globally competent. We have adopted innovative teaching learning methods using ICT based techniques in learning resources, softwares (Zygote body).As a part of advanced study we conduct Google Classroom for all three classes.

We organise guest lectures on academics. Outcome of the all academics and social activities conducted was having overwhelming response and beyond expectation for the beneficiaries i.e. students.

The faculty have actively participated and contributed in the designing and development of curricula of university course in Zoology. The faculty is involved in effective teaching, timely consultancy and extension activities.

To impart fundamental, global knowledge of animal science as well as inculcate morality among students for making them career oriented and strong enough to face challenges in developing world.
