The Hindi Department was started in the year 1979. Along with the inception the college. At the same time, it established and flourished so well with Back Minor and Major subject.

Shri.N.B.Patil was joined in the Department a lecturer and he is retired as a principal at 2012.In the year 2009 Dr.A.E.Gaykawad joined the Department as a lecturer. Presently he worked as HOD. In 2020 he passed away and Dr Shreekant Rathod has joined in the year 2019 as assistant professor.

Aim:

“To create awareness of Hindi as a National Language & Literature as unifying force". 

Objectives:

  • To develop a sense of Social and National responsibility and commitment among the students.
  • To upgrade the knowledge of Hindi Language & Literature, in the context of three language formula.
  • To make the students aware of the National & International affairs through Hindi Language.

Strategies:

To prepare conspectus/arrange guest lectures/seminars/study tours/questionnaires/class tests and tutorials.

HOD MESSEGE

Language is a powerful means of communication, a fine tool for artistic creation, literary compositions and a vital medium for the expression of our valuable thoughts and ideas and thereby preserving our culture. In fact, knowledge is encased in and proliferates through language. Such is the importance of languages in the growth and development of human civilization.

Programme Outcomes

  • Along with form, practical form can also be known. - Results obtained related to how Hindi language can play an important role at higher educational level.
  • Can happen. Linguistic values ​​can also be understood in practical terms.
  • The capacity for professionalism will be boosted through teaching and study of purpose-oriented Hindi, journalism, translation etc.

B.A V Sem (DSC V): Medieval Hindi poetry anthology and dramatic poetry

1. To understand the progressive nature of sant Kabir and his writings, Ram Bhakti poetry of Tulsidaas along with the philosophy of Bhakti cult, Krishna leela poetry of Soordaas by relating it with his philosophy of his life, Padmavat, a famous piece of soofi iterature and the vision of Meera in context of her Krishna Bhakti poetry.

1. To understand the novel Suraj Ka Satavan Ghoda written by Dharmveer Bharati.

2. To understand the modern play Ji Jaisi Apki Marji written by Naadira Babbar.

3. To able to understand the concepts and importance of linguistic and ancient and medieval period languages.

4. To understand the origin and development of Hindi language.

5. To understand identifying the dialects of Hindi language family and to analyse the development and different forms of khadi boli.

Department of Hindi Conducted Student seminar. B.A I sem student miss Saleema Kunabi presented seminar topic on Kahani Ka Vikas.

Dept. Of Hindi organized A Special Lecture on the topic “Hindi Nibandh Lekhan”. Dr. S S Desai Asst prof Shri Sangameshwar College Chadachan Was Guest.

On 19.09.2019 Hindi Day was celebrated at our College and Dr. Meenaxi Patil Assistant professor BLDE society S B Arts and KCP Science College Vijayapur, Guest of this event.

Department of Hind initiatives organized Special Lecture on Hindi Literature and Women Writer’s on 09.03.2021 Recourse persons of these functions Dr. Raju Bagalkot associate Professor Karnataka State Akka Mahadevi Woman’s University Vijayapur.

An online series of lectures was organized by Dept of Hindi,ss from 8.6.2021 to 20.6.2021.
